Codemagic

Nevercode launched Codemagic in Estonia in 2018 as a CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment) platform built specifically for Flutter — Google's cross-platform mobile development framework. The timing was perfect: Flutter was gaining rapid adoption and had almost no CI/CD tooling built for it. Codemagic could build and release Flutter apps for iOS, Android, macOS, and web from a single YAML config, handling all the code signing and store submission complexity. The product spread through the Flutter developer community organically. Flutter's team at Google promoted Codemagic as the recommended CI/CD tool. Codemagic expanded to support React Native, iOS (Xcode Cloud alternative), and Android native apps. Revenue grew to $100k+/month from a combination of self-serve subscriptions and enterprise contracts. The company raised a small Series A but maintained its Estonian engineering base and product focus. A textbook example of building the best tooling for an emerging technology and capturing a market before it matured.
