SocialPilot

SocialPilot is the social media management platform Animesh Upadhyaya and Jimit Bagadiya bootstrapped from India in 2014. It targets the gap between basic scheduling tools (Buffer, Later) and expensive enterprise platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite): a full-featured tool with bulk scheduling, team workflows, client management, and white-label reports at pricing that small agencies and mid-size businesses can actually afford. SocialPilot grew to $5M+ ARR with 100+ employees by keeping pricing 3-5x lower than Sprout Social while matching most core features. The "bulk upload" feature — scheduling 500 posts at once via CSV spreadsheet upload — became the product's signature use case for content agencies with high posting volumes. Being built in India with a globally distributed customer base allowed SocialPilot to run efficiently with lower operational costs than US-based competitors, enabling the aggressive pricing that drives word-of-mouth in budget-conscious small business communities.
