Nutshell
The CRM for B2B sales teams that want to close deals, not manage software.
Nutshell is the CRM for B2B sales teams Guy Suter bootstrapped from Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2009. It grew to $10M+ ARR with 80 employees by occupying the middle market between lightweight CRMs (too simple for teams with complex processes) and Salesforce (too expensive and complex for mid-size companies). Nutshell's approach was to give teams genuine sales automation — lead routing, email sequences, automated stage-moving based on activity — without the implementation cost of enterprise platforms. Nutshell's "Nutshell Campaigns" add-on (a built-in email marketing module integrated directly with the CRM data) created a unique value proposition: run a sales sequence from the CRM and a marketing campaign from the same tool, with shared contact data and shared activity history. This eliminated the CRM-to-email-tool integration headache for smaller companies. Nutshell's reporting (pipeline velocity, win rate by rep, activity leaderboard) gave sales managers visibility into team performance without needing a BI tool.
