Make
PREMIUMVisual automation platform for the workflows Zapier can't handle.
Make (formerly Integromat) is the visual automation platform built in Prague by Ondrej Gazda and Petr Malik starting in 2012. While Zapier made automation linear and simple, Make made it visual and powerful — a canvas-based workflow builder where users drag modules and draw connections between them, enabling complex branching logic, loops, data transformations, and multi-step flows that go far beyond simple trigger-action pairs. Czech company Celonis acquired Make in 2020 for approximately $100M. Make grew to $30M+ ARR before the acquisition by targeting power users who had hit Zapier's limits: developers, operations teams, and agencies building complex multi-step automations. The visual canvas editor was the key differentiator — users could see their entire workflow at once, debug it step by step by clicking any module to see the data that passed through, and build branches and filters visually. Make's generous free plan (1,000 operations/month) captured users who then upgraded as their automations scaled in usage.
