HighLevel (marketed as GoHighLevel) is the white-label sales and marketing platform Shaun Clark, Robin Alex, and Varun Vairavan built in 2018 specifically for digital marketing agencies. The product gives agencies a complete platform — CRM, funnel builder, email marketing, SMS automation, calendar booking, reputation management, and even website building — that they can reskin with their own branding and resell to their clients as "their" software at any price they choose. The white-label model created a powerful distribution mechanic: every agency customer becomes a HighLevel reseller, recruiting their own clients and charging them monthly for software access. HighLevel grew to $82M+ in revenue by 2024 partly by having tens of thousands of agencies act as its unpaid sales force. The platform grew through an intensely active community of agency owners who share tactics, templates, and workflows — a Facebook group and annual conference created a tribal identity around the product that made switching costs enormous.
