Cronitor
Monitor your cron jobs and scheduled tasks before they silently fail.
Cronitor is the scheduled task and cron job monitoring platform Ben Dowling bootstrapped from the US in 2015. It solves a problem every developer has experienced: a cron job fails silently and nobody knows for hours or days because cron doesn't send alerts, it just doesn't run. Cronitor provides a "heartbeat" URL for each scheduled task — the job pings Cronitor when it starts and when it completes, and Cronitor alerts via email and Slack if the job fails, takes too long, or doesn't run at all. The company grew to $2M+ ARR with a team of 5 by being the simplest possible solution to a universal developer pain point. Integration takes two minutes: add one curl command to the beginning and end of any cron job. Cronitor expanded from simple heartbeat monitoring into a full observability platform for scheduled tasks, adding telemetry (measure job duration trends over time), activity logs, and a dashboard showing all scheduled tasks and their last-run status in a single view. The bootstrapped, small-team model allowed extreme focus on the developer experience.
